We are looking for a permanent and almost full time (90%) position in Geography in German and German as a foreign language.
Qualifications: A master’s or a bachelor’s degree in both subjects and/or teaching experience in the subjects.
The position can turn into a full-time position over time.

Requirements

  • teaching qualifications are essential
  • fluent German speaker (preferably having German as a first language or having competences equivalent to that)
  • ability to differentiate your teaching in order to challenge all students
  • good knowledge of English, which is the common language at the school
  • proven experience in teaching the relevant age group (age 11-19)
  • outstanding commitment and ability to engage students and assist in developing their social, creative and academic skills

About the school
European School Copenhagen (ESCPH) is a public, international school under the Municipality of Copenhagen and the first of its kind in Denmark. The school is a department of the internationally renowned Sankt Annæ Gymnasium.

ESCPH opened in August 2014 and will in the school year 2022/23 have a full Upper and Lower Secondary. When the school is fully fased in in 2024, it will have 1000 students from P0-S7.   

ESCPH is an accredited school within the established European School system and as such offers a European education combining the rigorous educational requirements for European Schools with Danish pedagogy and working guidelines.

The mission of the European Schools is to provide a multilingual and multicultural education for nursery, primary and secondary pupils. The European Schools have a strong focus on languages. Students learn a foreign language from Primary 1 and will later be taught History and Geography in their first foreign language.

 Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with collective agreements on the area.  
The position will start at August 1st, 2024.
