Do you want to be part of Novo Nordisk’s journey towards developing and manufacturing new oral products for clinical trials? Then you might be our new Associate Manager in Emerging Products and Outsourcing as a part of Oral Product Development (OPDev) in Måløv.

The Position

You will manage a team of 8-15 highly skilled scientists working with outsourced oral drug product projects. The team is responsible for securing the formulation and process development from phase 1 to launch as well as manufacturing of clinical product for phase 1, 2, and 3. First, you will cover the existing outsourcing team while the current associate manager is on paternity leave. When he returns, a permanent associate manager position will be available as OPDev is growing, and more teams will be formed.

Some of the main tasks will be to:

  • Secure development and manufacture of oral products for clinical trials.
  • Hire resources for the team matching the future demands.
  • Secure a well-functioning and high performing team - set clear direction and goals.
  • Be a leader who is present in the team and drive continuous improvements.

Your key to success lies within your ability to perform as an inspiring, coaching, and motivating manager and, at the same time, securing that high quality oral products are developed and manufactured at the Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisations (CDMOs) for our patients in the clinical trials. To obtain this, you lead, direct, and empower your employees on a daily basis and make sure that we have the right resources and competencies in the team. Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you:

  • Have a master’s degree in engineering, chemistry, pharmacy or similar.
  • Possess solid experience from the pharmaceutical industry, ideally within small molecule projects and outsourcing.
  • Ideally have experience within people management, but this is not a requirement.
  • Communicate fluently in English.

As a person you are reliable, proactive, passionate and have strong and clear communication skills. Finally, you thrive in an environment where ongoing changes are a part of our business’ development, and daily prioritizations are needed to be a success. You are excellent at stakeholder management and know when to involve the relevant stakeholders in discussions and decisions.

In Emerging Products & Outsourcing, we develop oral drug products ensuring that we bring best-in-class treatments to the market. The department consists of +40 dedicated and enthusiastic colleagues organised in 2 soon to be 3 teams, as our oral product pipeline is growing, especially within small molecules and outsourced projects.
