Would you like to take part in developing the core of the core in Danske Bank? Do you like to be the middleman between IT and business people, and are you able to speak both languages? Then you might be our new Business and Functional Specialist.

We work in a scaled agile set-up, with a mix of Business & Functional Specialists, IT Developers, IT architects, and others in a diverse culture. We are currently expanding in the Digital Core tribe in Aarhus where you will be part of a collocated team with stakeholders in India, Lithuania and Denmark. Though we are scattered across the world, we have a close collaboration and want to be transparent in everything we do, and we encourage squad members to seize the mandate and support various initiatives.

In the Digital Core tribe we develop core solutions across the bank. We are on a mission to modernize the core of the Danske Bank group, meaning the customer and account areas, which is some of the most crucial areas of the bank and somehow directly or indirectly used by every single customer in the bank almost every day.

Your daily work will include:

Your responsibilities will involve driving clarifications, documenting business needs, and coordinating with the stakeholders across the entire Danske Bank group. Furthermore, you will be part of designing technical solutions in cooperation with the business and IT developers, which includes coordinating and facilitating activities.

You will participate and work in a squad based on the agile principles, where your responsibilities among others will include:

  • Translate business and technical needs into epics, user stories and help prioritize them in an agile scrum-based setup.
  • Assist the development team to deliver solutions that serves as business enablers.
  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders, agile ceremonies, and other relevant activities.
  • Assist with stakeholder management across business and frontline areas.
  • Spar with Product Owner around the strategic direction of the squad.

A great match

We imagine that you have a relevant degree in IT or business or have worked as a business analyst or similar role for a couple of years. You have possibly worked in an agile set-up and are an expert in clarifying and documenting business needs. The most important qualifications are your desire to learn and understand, create impact and work in an agile set-up. Finally, we expect that you are a great communicator both verbally and written in both Danish and English.

Who are we?

Digital Core is a tribe of over 250 employees, organized in cross functional squads across Denmark, Lithuania and India, all committed to deliver effective solutions for both external customers of Danske Bank and internal consumers of our data. We cater for the following critical domains: Customer Information, Accounts, Pricing including fee and interest and Customer Communication. This role is for the Customer and Accounts domains.
