What’s the role about

For our team, we are looking for several UX/UI designers to support our different product teams. We have products on the spectrum from initiation (and eager to get their first release out ASAP) to proven products that have been in use for years (and loved by its customers). As each of the software products are different, so is the team around, and we are therefore trying to match our new colleagues to the team where they fit the best. We are searching for designers that want to grow and mature our practices and understand how their collaboration and contribution is intertwined with their product (team) and continue to find better ways of delivering value.

Your daily work will be in a established product team, where the team drive the entire product process from idea to decommission including product discovery, strategy, portfolio mindset, operations and prioritization. As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will be the third part in a product trio, along with our Tech Lead and Product Owner, where you will be central in all phases of our design work and contribute to establishing good processes and workflows.

Additionally, your some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Conducting studies of user-needs and business objectives, where you will be leading activities of user-research, wire-framing, writing up user-stories, mapping user-journeys and workflows
  • Contribute to value-proposition and roadmaps.
  • Turning the insights into easy-to-use solutions, such as high-level conceptual sketches and interactive prototypes.
  • Being a part of building and designing the product, as well as monitoring and improving on the product.
  • Working closely with several internal and external stakeholders, while promoting efficient collaboration with colleagues

Which competencies to bring

As we are looking for several candidates across seniorities and specialisation, we are curious to hear from you and what you are specialised and interested in. Based on these inputs, we will try to match ideal candidates respectively in terms of product and team. However, to be successful in the role, we imagine that you will be able to tick most of the following boxes :

  • Relevant master’s degree, e.g. in Digital Design or similar field
  • Strong experience with UX methodologies, creative thinking, problem solving, and the application of User Centered Design (UCD) as well as an awareness/curiouty towards current trends in user interface design
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools, such as Figma
  • Demonstrable experience collaborating with software developers and/or experience working with software products
  • Ability to navigate in a large and complex organisation.

On a personal level, you are fast learner with a positive attitude and an ability to receive and provide objective feedback. You have a strong collaborative spirit and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. And you share the passion of creating solutions that make a difference in the everyday lives of patients and clinicians. You are grounded, resilient and respectful in your interaction with colleagues and stakeholders.

The position is in the Digital Accelerator, a fast moving and highly skilled department helping Novo Nordisk in green field software development. We are currently 150+ people, with 20 experienced UX/UI colleagues. We are 18 nationalities and support diversity in all aspects.

We are an interdisciplinary team with focus on achieving great results but doing so while having a great time together.
