
Account Executive for Emply People
Own the full sales cycle for Emply People in the Danish mid-market, winning new business and growing existing accounts to become a cornerstone of how Danish companies manage their people.
This role sits in a competitive and fast-moving Danish HCM market, where mid-market companies are increasingly looking to replace fragmented HR tools with a single, unified platform. As an Account Executive, you won't just be closing deals. You'll be building lasting relationships with HR and business leaders, understanding their people-related challenges and positioning Emply People as the solution that grows with them. Your pipeline will come from a combination of your own prospecting, inbound leads, and opportunities generated by our SDR team, giving you a strong foundation to work from while still rewarding those who take ownership of their own growth.
Emply People from Paychex Europe is a flexible HR system for small and medium-sized businesses that unifies the entire employee journey in one solution, from recruitment and onboarding to performance, time and absence management, and offboarding.
This is a role with real commercial weight and real development opportunity. You'll work closely with our SDR, Presales, Marketing, and Customer Success team to ensure a seamless experience from first touch to onboarded customer. And as the Danish mid-market segment expands, so will your opportunities to progress into a senior or team lead role, or to broaden your scope across multiple markets.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for driving new business and growing existing accounts within the Danish mid-market segment, managing the full sales cycle from first conversation to signed contract and beyond. You'll work closely with our SDR team to convert qualified opportunities, while also sourcing and advancing your own pipeline. Building strong and trust-based relationships with HR managers, People leads, and C-suite stakeholders will be central to how you work. Here is a non-conclusive list of tasks in the role:
- Managing the full sales cycle for Emply People, from discovery and demo through to proposal, negotiation and close
- Proactively sourcing and developing your own pipeline alongside inbound and SDR-generated opportunities
- Carry out in-depth discovery to understand each prospect’s people-related challenges and tailor your approach accordingly
- Maintaining accurate pipeline and forecast data in our CRM, and consistently hitting or exceeding your quarterly targets
Our humble expectations
Given the responsibilities mentioned above, we expect people with the following traits, skills and experience to be successful in this role:
- You have 3–5 years of experience in a full-cycle B2B sales role, preferable from selling SaaS solutions, and you're comfortable managing complex deals with multiple stakeholders from start to finish
- You have a track record of hitting or exceeding quota and you can talk concretely about how you did it
- You communicate clearly and persuasively in Danish, both written and spoken and you're confident presenting to senior decision-makers
- You ask sharp discovery questions, listen carefully, and build your pitch around what matters to the customer rather than a generic script
- You take ownership of your pipeline, keep your CRM accurate, and proactively flag risks rather than hoping things will sort themselves out
- You are genuinely curious about HR and people management trends, and you understand the business case for investing in the right technology
