Business Developer – Protein & Food Commodities

Do you have a strong commercial instinct – and a drive to make deals happen?

At Danfond, we are looking for a commercially driven profile to work with buying and selling protein raw materials, by-products, and fats - and to develop new business within this scope.

You may be ready to run your own deals from day one – or grow into it.
Either way, your role is to create value through buying, selling, and execution.

Your role

You will work closely with the Sales Director and experienced colleagues – and take responsibility based on your level and drive.

You will:

  • Buy and sell products within our core areas
  • Develop relationships with customers and suppliers across Europe
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and margins
  • Follow deals from first contact to delivery
  • Contribute to ongoing business and identify opportunities

If you are early in your career, you will start closer to execution and build responsibility over time.
If you are more experienced, you will take ownership faster.

This is a hands-on commercial role in a market where timing, margins, and execution matter.

Travel: approx. 20–40 days per year.

Your profile

  • 3–5 years of experience from B2B sales, trading, or logistics within food or commodities
  • Strong commercial understanding – or a clear drive to develop it
  • Experience with meat, food products, or supply chains is an advantage
  • Fluent in Danish and English (French or German is a plus)

More importantly:

  • You have a strong commercial instinct and a deal-driven mindset
  • You take ownership and follow things through in a timely manner
  • You are comfortable with using latest IT developments including AI
