Innovative solutions for parcel lockers

Do you want to help design, build and optimise the firmware that powers our parcel lockers? We are looking for an Embedded Developer to work cross-functionally with our software, hardware and product teams to deliver reliable, high-quality embedded systems for our customers. You will report to our CDO and work closely with five colleagues in the same department.

Your primary focus

Your tasks and responsibilities will cover:

  • Design embedded hardware architecture, block diagrams and schematics based on project requirements
  • Design embedded firmware architecture based on project requirements and hardware specifications
  • Collaborate with software architects and hardware engineers to develop integrated systems
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex firmware and hardware issues
  • Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation
  • Liaise with design and engineering to ensure process alignment and smooth delivery across teams

Cross-functional and customer-related activities:

  • Collaborate with research and development, to assure product and quality on new products and customer cases to ensure smooth pilots, onboarding and support during field tests
  • Prepare firmware builds, test plans and data-collection tools to support pilot planning and follow-up
  • Present technical solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders when needed

Who are you

You have:

  • Strong programming skills in C/C++
  • Solid understanding of hardware architecture and microcontroller design
  • Knowledge of microcontroller families (e.g., nRF, NXP)
  • Experience with real-time operating systems (e.g., Zephyr)
  • Strong proficiency in debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems
  • An understanding of hardware interfaces and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.)
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar

If you can add some of these skills as well, you will strengthen your profile in our selection process:

  • Familiarity with version control (Git)
  • Understanding of power management techniques for battery-powered devices
  • Experience with wireless technologies (Bluetooth, WiFi, LoRa)
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and static code analysis
  • Experience with Continuous Integration tools

It is important to stress that the above are desirable skills and thus not non-negotiable requirements. You will be working from our headquarters in Sønderborg and will be expected to travel when necessary. If you believe you have the skills to solve the tasks, we strongly encourage you to apply.
