Compliance Officer

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on, and experienced Compliance Officer to join our headquarters in Brøndby, Copenhagen. This is a new and strategically important role within Milexia Nordics, where you will play a key part in strengthening our compliance culture and supporting our continued growth.

As our Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for updating, maintaining, and improving our ISO certifications (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001) and ensuring that our organisation meets the highest standards within compliance, ESG, trade regulations, and governance. You will work closely with our Group Compliance team and be a central contributor to our annual ESG reporting and supply chain assessments.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the compliance function in Milexia Nordics and make a real impact across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • ISO Management: Maintain, update, and continuously improve ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 standards.
  • Privacy Management: Manage documentation and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Export & Import Control: Supervise and manage compliance documentation, including dual-use goods.
  • Environmental Compliance: Handle carbon footprint calculations, and other environmental initiatives.
  • ESG Reporting: Collect and compile data for annual ESG reports and support ESG/sustainability supply chain questionnaires.
  • Governance Compliance: Ensure adherence to anti-corruption regulations and internal governance standards.
  • Hands-on execution: Perform practical compliance tasks and continuously strengthen local processes and documentation.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor or master’s degree in law, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably within a similar industry.
  • Experience with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 management systems is a strong advantage.
  • Experience with EcoVadis or other ESG assessment platforms is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of privacy regulations, export/import control, environmental compliance, and anti-corruption requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) required; Danish proficiency preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
