Head of Finance

Our Finance team is seeking a Head of Finance to join our team in Hundested.

As a key member of our evolving Finance organization, you’ll play a vital role in providing the leadership team with high-quality general accounting, performance management reporting, and internal control services. You’ll partner closely with colleagues across commercial operations and support functions to help drive both enterprise and business unit success.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable/Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Recognition, and Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
• Oversee Treasury, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Insurance management.
• Lead the month-end close process: ensure timely and accurate financial statements, review results, and provide insights to local and BU finance management.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop, monitor, and continuously improve financial systems and procedures.
• Drive functional excellence through process standardization and team development.
• Maintain a strong internal control environment: design and implement local policies, ensure adherence to corporate procedures, and follow up on audit recommendations.
• Foster collaboration and clear communication across Finance, Commercial, and Operations teams globally.
• Manage and mentor a small controlling team.
• Perform other ad-hoc financial and analytical tasks as required.
• Support your team - a Senior Accountant, payroll specialist and a Controlling Analyst

About You

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
• Proven experience in accounting, controlling, or financial management roles, ideally within an international organization.
• Strong understanding of Danish accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead, develop, and motivate your team.
• Fluent in Danish and English
