Are you ready to take charge of shaping our global brand while empowering local markets to thrive? At Axlab, we’re looking for a dynamic Director of Marketing Communications (MarCom) to bring our global vision to life across our markets. As our Director of Marketing Communications, you will work closely with markets, Product Management and the Executive Leadership team to drive and activate campaigns, events and ensure brand and message consistency – all while tailoring initiatives to the market-specific nuances that drive local impact. You’ll be the bridge between global strategy and local execution.
Who we are
Through “Your Vision. Our Inspiration” we create real impact implementing innovation that matters creating tomorrow’s pathology labs. Axlab distributes and supplies advanced medical equipment and consumables with a focus on pathology to laboratories and hospitals in primarily Europe and the USA. Currently, Axlab distributes products for 21 suppliers, 12 of which are considered important strategic partners. In addition, Axlab produces BiopSafe biopsy containers, which ensure efficient handling of formalin in connection with biopsies in hospitals and clinics.
We are approx. 60 colleagues, more than half of whom are located at the headquarter in Vedbæk. The rest are engaged in sales and sales enablement in Europe and the USA. The MarCom team currently consists of 2 experienced and dedicated employees as well as an engaged student assistant. You will lead this team, and you will be a member of the management team reporting to our CMO, Peter Salling.
You will make an impact by
- Driving the activation of campaigns, events and communication initiatives across our markets – ensuring effective implementation, local relevance, and maximum impact.
- Leading and coordinating marketing and communication activities that align with Axlab strategy contributing to business growth, brand consistency, and strong market positioning.
- Enabling efficiency through shared resources, optimized processes, and smarter ways of working – helping to scale impact while maintaining agility.
- Providing structured input and feedback to the team and stakeholders, ensuring that market insights and needs are reflected in the global planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Driving digital marketing strategy and execution to ensure efficient usage of channels and secure lead generation and the positioning of Axlab
- Managing and developing the team to become a commercial partner and driver of marcom activities
What you bring
You’re an experienced and collaborative marketing and communication professional who understands the value of balancing global direction with local execution. You thrive in cross-cultural environments and are passionate about aligning diverse teams behind a shared strategy – while empowering them to deliver local results.
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or similar
- 5–8 years’ experience in regional or local MarCom roles, preferably within the MedTech industry (distributor experience a plus)
- Proven expertise in adapting campaigns for local impact while protecting brand consistency
- Solid knowledge of brand management, campaign execution, and digital marketing strategies
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Strong experience in brand management

And you are fluent in English (written and spoken) and you understand and speak Danish.
