IT Operations Lead (m/f/d)

We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Lead who will be responsible for ensuring our technology operations are secure, resilient, and optimised for business growth. This is a key leadership position within our international IT team, offering the opportunity to shape the future direction of our digital services and infrastructure.

Key Objectives:

  • Safeguard data, networks, and systems through stringent cybersecurity management.
  • Lead the evolution of our SaaS environment to support current and future business requirements.
  • Drive innovation and efficiency in IT operations by aligning strategies to business goals.
  • Ensure robust network and hosting infrastructures in collaboration with international partners.

Detailed Responsibilities:

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve IT security policies and frameworks.
  • Oversee regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and penetration tests.
  • Establish incident response protocols and lead security incident investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices (e.g., GDPR, ISO27001).

SaaS Solutions & IT Architecture

  • Define and execute the IT strategy for SaaS application selection, integration, and management.
  • Monitor service reliability, availability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of SaaS products.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Manage relationships with SaaS vendors and ensure proper licensing, updates, and support.

Network & Hosting Infrastructure

  • Partner with external hosting providers and oversee the selection and management of hosting/cloud solutions.
  • Ensure the seamless integration of cloud (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), on-premises, and hybrid environments.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best-practice security standards.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance infrastructure resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

Strategic Leadership & Team Management

  • Develop and execute long-term IT roadmaps that support business transformation and innovation.
  • Lead a diverse international IT team, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost optimisation for IT operations.
  • Represent IT in cross-departmental projects and communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Extensive background in IT operations, with emphasis on:

    • Cybersecurity strategy and implementation

    • SaaS architecture and cloud integrations

    • Oracle products and platforms

    • Enterprise-level network design and performance management

  • Proven track record of collaborating with international teams and managed service providers.
  • Deep understanding of network architectures, security frameworks, and business continuity planning.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and risk management in a technical context.
  • Strong vendor negotiation, project management, and communication skills.
