Process Supporter – Downstream Fermentation
Do you have experience with small and large projects within industrial fermentation processes?
Would you like to join a team developing the protein of the future?
We are looking for a colleague to join our Process Support team. As process supporter, you will have the possibility to be at the forefront of technical solutions within industrial scale protein processing and purification, and to execute standard production and experiments in a pilot production line.
We develop the protein of the future
Unibio has developed a sustainable fermentation technology to produce protein; Uniprotein®. Based on methane gas, and using our patented technology, we can produce high quality single-cell protein, making it possible to feed the world's growing population without devastating the ecosystems.
Our headquarters are in Roskilde, close to Copenhagen, and our Innovation Centre and pilot facilities are in Kalundborg. Our Innovation Centre has a dual function within the company, as we switch between technology development projects and production tests of new products.
Welcome to the process support team
Look forward to becoming part of a young team who appreciate working together and helping each other. As our new Process Supporter, you have the drive to be onsite and engage with your highly skilled colleagues in the operations team to stay updated on their challenges. You will be the main coordinator and problem solver in our downstream process, and perform day-to-day tasks related to optimisation and standardisation of our current production line.
You will help us with:
- Daily support of downstream processes
- Planning, executing and documenting standard downstream productions and experiments
- Driving technology development through process experiments downstream
- Be involved in product development, design trials and follow up on data
- Process design, qualification and process support for new factories around the world
- Day-to-day problem solving on equipment and processes
- Main contact point between the commercial team and production to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Monitoring and analysing standard downstream processes
We imagine that you:
- Have an education within biotechnology engineering/chemical engineering or similar
- Have experience with planning and executing productions in the biotech industry
- Communicate fluently in written and verbal English and preferably Danish
- Are self-driven and thrive in a fast-paced, developing company, where priorities can change quickly
The following would be a plus:
- Hands-on experience with downstream unit operations (e.g. filtration, centrifuge, UHT, spray drying)
- Experience with purchasing and validation of new equipment
- Experience with logistics
We offer:
Your daily workplace will be in Kalundborg with occasional working days at our offices in Roskilde. You may expect up to 20 travel days per year in relation to support of new factories.
We are currently 75 employees across 12 nationalities, and we are experiencing great progress. We are scaling up rapidly, and things change fast, so there are many opportunities to contribute and to develop your role. You will have enthusiastic, and supportive colleagues and we often arrange social events for employees across both locations. Unibio also has a strong focus on providing a healthy and safe working environment.
