The Financial Controller plays a key role in ensuring financial transparency and operational efficiency across the organization. Reporting to the Head of Accounting, the role is centered around delivering accurate and timely financial insights, supporting both strategic decision-making and daily financial operations.
While the focus is financial, the position requires a hands-on and collaborative mindset. Whether it's assisting with budget processes, refining internal controls, or addressing various challenges inherent in a scaling-up company, the Financial Controller is a crucial partner in ensuring a controlled, data-driven, and scalable financial foundation.
Focus and responsibility for the Financial Controller
As the IMBOX finance team is still quite small, your responsibilities will cover a broader scope, but with the financial controlling part as an important foundation. We expect your task headlines to be:
Monthly reporting and financial oversight of subsidiaries:
- Perform controlling of fixed assets, liquidity, accounts receivable, and potentially inventory
- Handle cost control and budget follow-up
- Manage monthly reporting, including reconciliations, reporting of figures, and follow-up on subsidiaries
Financial analysis and business support:
- Prepare financial analyses and key figures
- Support business units with financial insights and cost transparency
- Maintain and further develop dashboards in Power BI (experience not required)
Operational support in finance:
- Assist with budgeting and budget follow-up
- Support transfer pricing documentation and year-end closing
- Contribute to ongoing improvement and automation of financial processes and bookkeeping
The successful Financial Controller candidate
We believe you need to match the following track record and competencies to match the ambitions of IMBOX:
- You have experience in accounting/controlling. Preferable you come with insight from general accounting or from a similar controlling position, however your experience can also be as Auditor
- You have the insight, profile and ambitions to match the responsibility you are given and thrive exactly in the intersection between numbers, service and communication
- You have experience working with Excel and relevant ERP/analysis/data tools (The IMBOX platform is Dynamics 365 Business Central and Continia Capture). Familiarity with Power BI is an advantage
- You are digital, knowing the value of numbers and accuracy
- You speak/write English at business level
