About the Role

As Legal Counsel, you will play a key strategic role in supporting BioPorto’s R&D and Clinical Operations teams, while also advising our Production and Commercial functions.

In this role, you will report to our Chief Legal Officer, Gry Husby, and be a part of her Corporate Affairs Team currently, consisting of two other colleagues. You will provide strategic legal advice on complex matters across R&D, Clinical, Production, and Commercial teams, and act as a trusted legal partner throughout the organization, both in Denmark and the US, ensuring legal excellence and compliance in all aspects of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including CTAs, CDAs, vendor and consultancy agreements, investigator-initiated study contracts, research collaborations, SAB and KOL agreements, supply and distribution contracts, licensing agreements, and data processing agreements.
  • Develop and maintain contract templates, fallback documentation, and centralized contract library.
  • Provide strategic legal support for clinical and nonclinical studies.
  • Lead data protection efforts across the BioPorto Group, ensuring GDPR compliance.
  • Review promotional and advertising materials for regulatory compliance.
  • Manage intellectual property matters, including patents and trademarks.
  • Oversee budgets related to external legal counsel and patent-related costs.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to support efficient project execution.
  • Other ad hoc legal tasks.

Your Profile

  • Master of Laws degree (LL.M. or equivalent qualification).
  • 3–5+ years of legal experience in the life sciences industry, ideally with a focus on R&D or Clinical Operations.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical research, GxP, GDPR, and data privacy regulations.
  • Fluent in both Danish and English.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating within a multicultural organizational environment.
  • Commercially minded with a proactive, structured, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Team player with a purpose-driven mindset.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities with resilience and ownership.
