Job description
As a project manager at AquaGreen you will be responsible for projects through all phases from contracting to handover of plants to our customers, which are typically wastewater plants in Denmark and the Nordic countries.
You will have a key role in ensuring that the projects are executed according to the project budgets, schedules and specifications. In addition to commercial deliveries to end-customers, you may also play a role in development projects and business development.
- Technical responsibility: Insight into the process engineering area and the ability to familiarize oneself with technical issues, which require knowledge of e.g. P&I diagrams, technical specifications and arrangement drawings, as well as an understanding of component selection and function descriptions.
- Schedule: You prepare and coordinate plans with goals and milestones based on the contract. You make ongoing priorities and ensure compliance with agreed deliverables to the customer's satisfaction.
- Team and resources: Together with the team and the head of department, you ensure that the tasks are planned, prioritized, and coordinated by the project team. You clearly communicate expectations and requirements and follow up.
- Finance: You are responsible for the budget, handling change orders, report key figures and ensure timely invoicing and payment in collaboration with Procurement and Finance.
- Quality: As a project manager, you ensure that the necessary quality assurance activities and documentation requirements are carried out and complied with. Furthermore, you must ensure that risk analyses both in terms of project risks and personal safety are conducted.
- Customer contact: You have effective customer contact and are responsible for the project being executed according to the contract signed from when the project has been handed over by the sales department. You ensure ongoing communication with relevant stakeholders (both written and oral) and ensure that e.g. kick-offs, reviews, FAT, project meetings, etc. are held.
- Manufacturing: In collaboration with Engineering and Procurement, you must ensure that critical suppliers and the manufacturing of the plant components and systems are under control.
The ideal candidate
You work in a structured way and are able to make well-considered decisions in the project and are used to leading and motivating project teams so that the necessary results are created throughout the project's lifetime. You have the necessary and up-to-date technical understanding, but you are also able to engage in critical details where the decision-making basis is typically prepared by the respective subject specialists.
You thrive on contact with several stakeholders, both internally and externally, where you align expectations in relation to ensuring the most optimal solutions, both in terms of cost and quality. Your ability to communicate, maintain an overview and involve the right people at the right time are essential to your success in the job.
Thus, the ideal candidate will have previously demonstrated the following key competencies:
- Structured project management of process and/or mechanical engineering projects
- Stakeholder management via. proactive contact and coordination.
- Machine, process and control understanding
- Persistence and resilience
- Analytical
- Flexible
- Good communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent, e.g. mechanical engineer, chemical engineer or marine engineer
- Documented experience with project management (min. 3 years), including financial management and budgeting
- Technical experience with P&I diagrams, specifications, bills-of-materials and process plants (pumps, valves, heat-exchanges etc.)
- Knowledge of ERP systems (we use MS Dynamics Business Central), MS Project and possibly. 3D CAD and PDM (we use Solid Works)
- Experience from similar projects to those that Aquagreen executes in terms of complexity and size
- English and Danish at negotiation level in writing and speech
Additional Info
You should expect 10-20 travel days a year, currently mostly in Denmark and the Nordic countries.
AquaGreen has approximately 40 employees. We are located at Risø near Roskilde.
Due to vacation time, applications will be processed from the end of July 2025 and interviews are expected to be held in August 2025.
