Join our Quality Team at Damstahl – Group Quality Assistant

Damstahl is seeking a Group Quality Assistant with a hands-on, operational mindset to strengthen our team in Skanderborg. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Group Quality Manager, René Petri, based in Germany, and play a key part in upholding our commitment to delivering exceptional service and premium stainless steel and metal products to our customers across Europe.

Your role

As Group Quality Assistant, you will play a central role in coordinating high-demand customer projects, ensuring clear communication between departments such as Warehouse, Logistics, and Sales. Your attention to detail and structured approach will be key in aligning internal processes with customer-specific requirements and in executing projects successfully.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Group Quality Manager in maintaining and developing our Quality Management System (e.g., ISO 9001)
• Take an active role in continuous improvement initiatives (quality circles)
• Support internal and external audits
• Assist in training staff on quality standards and procedures
• Conduct and document incoming and outgoing goods inspections, with a focus on VIP customers. In this role, you will take the lead in coordination with the warehouse, working closely with the Warehouse Manager in Skanderborg
• Perform daily spot checks (e.g., process compliance, 5S)
• Collaborate with Customer Care and Product Owners in handling complaints (depending on experience)

What we expect

• Initial experience in quality management or quality assurance
• Basic understanding of materials - experience in stainless steel trading or processing is a strong advantage
• Solid MS Office skills: familiarity with the ERP system D365 is a plus
• Structured, precise, and well-organized work style
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Fluent in English and Danish (spoken and written), German language skills are an advantage
