
Experienced, German speaking, Design-/Project Manager in Copenhagen or Shanghai
Are you passionate about designing and developing ‘Custom-made Visual Merchandise Display’? Do you want to work in one of the most exciting metropoles in the world, creating campaigns for some of the largest and most successful brands within the jewellery, timepieces, and fashion industry? We are a company with offices in Copenhagen, Shanghai and Warszawa, that has extensive networks of production and supplier partners in China and Poland. Additionally, we also have our own assembly and consolidation facility in Shanghai.
For our offices in either Copenhagen or Shanghai, respectively, we are now looking for a German speaking Design-/Project Manager.
THE ROLE:
As a valued member of our staff in Copenhagen or Shanghai, you can utilise your creativity and skills, creating and managing several interesting projects. The job will allow you to gain valuable personal- and professional experiences, developing unique ‘Custom-made Visual Merchandising Campaigns’ for international high-end brands.
You will act both as designer and as project manager for your assigned portfolio of projects, working with colleagues from Denmark, Norway, Iceland, UK, Poland, Argentina, Italy, Colombia and China, all with different professional backgrounds and experiences.
While we prefer candidates interested in joining us in our Shanghai office, we are also open to candidates who want to join us in Copenhagen, provided that you are willing to travel to China for a short 2-month intro, as well as to take regular trips to China (2-4 times per year).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contact and cooperation with your allocated portfolio of customers
- Create designs, visualisations and presentations for projects, including biddings to new customers.
- Drive technical maturing of products, including prototypes for mass production.
- Overall project control, including management and coordination with other departments such as drawers, quality control, logistics and administration.
- Communication with international customers, primarily from the DACH region, as well as daily contact with suppliers, through our Project Managers in China/ Poland.
- Calculation of prices, including preparation of quotations and sales orders.
ABOUT YOU:
As a person, you strive for excellence and quality in everything you do. You have strong business acumen and can give clear instructions in a professional and kind manner while maintaining a pleasant and ambitious work environment. You are able and willing to occasionally take a trips interantionally, depending on, if are sitting in Copenhagen or Shanghai, respectively.
Furthermore, you:
- Have a degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Furniture Design or similar.
- Are fluent in German - both spoken and written-, and master English at business level, in spoken and written as well.
- Bring minimum 3-5 years of proven design and project management experience.
- Use 2- and 3D drawing/visualisation software at a professional high level. Advanced skills in visualisation and customer presentations will be highly appreciated.
- Are a proficient user of the Microsoft Office package.
- Are adventurous and have a highly creative mind-set capable of understanding and capturing our customer’s brand-DNA and needs.
- Structured, efficient, diligent, loyal and reliable character traits, besides being positive, pro-active, dynamic and flexible.
- Experiences from within graphic design and offset printing will also be appreciated.
- Have a willingness and the availability to visit our other offices internationally, on a continuous basis.
