Finance Project Manager – Global Finance Processes

In this role you will be responsible for the design and implementation of a standard Record-To-Report (R2R) process across the entire finance organization. The role will involve collaboration and interactions with various departments, and you will touch upon almost all financial disciplines.

What is the scope of this position?

You will jump directly into a current ongoing company wide Global Finance Processes project centered around R2R covering the end-to-end financial accounting and reporting processes across the organization. The project is aiming at implementing a standardized, aligned, and compliant process across all our entities.

Here you’ll play a crucial role in the overall implementation of a Global R2R-Design that needs to ensure accuracy, efficiency and compliance of financial processes, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

What You Will Be Doing

You will play an instrumental role in realizing our ambitions within Record-To-Report by building up a proactive and forward-looking process with the necessary tools, clear visibility and accountability across the different finance departments/functions. As you will step into an ongoing project you will have a great chance to influence and add your own touch upon the future stage.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Drive the implementation of finance processes and other end-to-end processes within R2R out in the regions
• Lead our regions through the various stages of an R2R transformation by building up solid implementation plans, taking into account different stages of maturity on entity level
• Define process performance measures that can target and monitor process performance - insuring non-compliance with defined processes are timely identified
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and deliver high-quality results
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results to internal and external stakeholders
• Implement and enforce control measures to mitigate risks associated with financial reporting
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and systems (if needed) to enhance R2R processes

You are a self-starter who can work independently with a strong drive for results and persistent in achieving targets. Your ability to both drill-down in highly operational finance processes or complex finance controlling processes and design efficient solutions, will give you an optimal opportunity for developing and growing in this position. Towards your surroundings, you are communicative and are comfortable exploring a direction and defining a solution in an environment with some degree of ambiguity and uncertainty.

Furthermore, you have:

• 3+ years of experience within finance transformation or implementing finance processes (either from a consulting company or within a finance function, where you have been involved in different functional areas)
• Proven experience in design, development and executing finance transformation projects
• Experience with the Record-To-Report process and a generally broad finance knowledge but not necessarily in the role as a specialist
• Strategic problem-solving skills, and the ability to quickly see through complexity and bring structure to uncertainty
• Excellent stakeholder management, networking and presentation skills: can easily work and communicate on all organizational levels
• Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide others when necessary
• Academic credentials on bachelor or master level in Finance and/or Accounting and/or Consulting (e.g., Cand.Oecon., Cand.Merc. etc.)
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
