PhD Student in Novel Bioreactor Configurations for Gas-Dependent Biocatalytic Reactions at DTU Chemical Engineering

Kongens Lyngby

The Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering (DTU Chemical Engineering) at the Technical University of Denmark offers a position as a PhD student in novel bioreactor configurations for gas-dependent biocatalytic reactions. This position will be hosted at DTU Chemical Engineering in a group which specializes is bioprocess scale-up and implementation.

This PhD project aims to explore new bioreactor configurations to help overcome some of the challenges of enzymatic conversion using oxygen and other hydrophobic gases (including hydrogen, ammonia, carbon dioxide and methane). Laboratory and pilot experimentation will be used to help validate reactor concepts, complemented by models to help assess their potential.
