PhD scholarship in Tailoring Metal-Organic Frameworks for Base Metal Electrocatalysis

A 3-year PhD scholarship in metal-organic framework (MOF) chemistry funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark is available at the Department of Chemistry. The project will be under supervision of Associate Professor Kasper S. Pedersen and is starting as soon as possible.

The synthetic engineering of the inorganic and organic building blocks constituting all MOF-materials leads to almost endless possibilities for MOF properties tuning (e.g. electronic, magnetic, optical, etc.). The PhD project will focus on the design, synthesis, and characterization of new types of metal-organic network structures to be employed as electrocatalysts.

This includes also the elucidation of structural and physical properties, and electronic structures.
