The position is a temporary position of 6 months and open from 15 July 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Job description
In this position, you will contribute to the further development of existing environmental-economic models by support to the development of new modelling platforms at IFRO. The research assistant’s duties will include support on data analysis and management, translation of programming code between software packages and establishment of a data platform for integrated economic and ecological modelling researchExperience with programming languages such as Matlab, R and Python is a requirement for the position and experience with Geographical Information Systems and VBA and SQL literacy is an advantage. Fluent written and spoken English and Danish in a requirement for the position.

IFRO carries out basic and applied social science research and has educational and public sector advisory service responsibilities within its thematic fields. IFRO is also characterized by a high involvement in interdisciplinary research at both international and national levels.
Who are we looking for?
Successful applicants need strong modelling, data management, data analysis and programming skills from an MSc degree in civil engineering, data science or similar.
Terms of employment
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
