Bosch Automotive Aftermarket, Global Service Engineering & IT Systems is looking for a new software colleague to help develop and maintain our software suite. Our existing portfolio consists of an on-premises software solution where we are working with the .NET framework centered around a Windows Forms application with many support and service projects to manage interfaces to other Digital Offers within the Bosch organization. We are working with Developer Express extensions for both UI and ORM (Object-Relational Mapping).

We are busy and are therefore looking for a passionate .NET developer for our development department.

You will create applications from scratch, configure existing systems and provide user support.

In this role, you should be able to write functional code with a sharp eye for spotting defects. You should be a team player and excellent communicator. If you are passionate about the .NET framework and software design/architecture, we would like to meet you.

Your goal will be to work with internal teams to design, develop and maintain software.

Job Description

As a .NET Developer, you will work with .NET in various projects, depending on your skills and your area of interest. We imagine that your primary tasks will include:

  • code using .NET (C#, VB .NET)
  • Upgrade, configure, debug, and improve existing systems and software
  • Provide technical support for desktop applications
  • Participate in requirements analysis
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
  • Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages
  • Test and deploy applications and systems
  • Revise, update, refactor and debug code
  • Develop documentation throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support
  • Assist software personnel in handling project related work and other requirements
  • Remain up to date with the terminology, concepts, and best practices for .NET software development

Qualifications

Experience with design and development is a big plus! In addition, we also find your ability and willingness to acquire new knowledge and develop your skills extremely relevant.

We imagine that:

  • 5 years of proven design and development experience with .NET, Windows Forms and SQL Server architecture
  • Knowledge of at least Visual Basic .NET, SQL Server, DevExpress (Windows Forms and eXpress Persistent Objects (XPO)) and Windows Services
  • Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, and design/architectural patterns such as Model-View-Controller (MVC)
  • Database design and development (SQL Server)
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with architectural styles/API (REST, RPC, APC)
  • Special attention to detail and passion for technology and knowledge
  • Strong background in object-oriented development techniques
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once by focusing on one task while keeping track of many others
  • Knowledge of Cloud Hosting Services (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services) and MySQL Syntax a plus
