Kan du akkompagnere ballet på et højt kunstnerisk og professionelt niveau og ønsker du, at udvikle dig selv som kunstner på en anerkendt balletskole og i et internationalt balletkompagni? Kunne du tænke dig at arbejde på Det Kongelige Teaters Balletskole og i Den Kongelige Ballet, kreative arbejdspladser, hvor kunstneriske traditioner og nyskabelser sikres af en moderne arbejdspladskultur og en stærk samarbejdsånd?
Repetitøren varetager musikalsk akkompagnement ved de daglige træningstimer i Balletten og ved Balletskolen. Arbejdet kan endvidere inkludere orkesterspil og klaverledsagelse ved offentlige optrædener o.l.
Ud over en alsidig pianistisk kunnen forventes følgende:
- En besiddelse af en stærk teknik og en evne til at spille et alsidigt musikalsk repertoire, samtidig med at du er opmærksom på individuelle danseres og koreografers behov, hvad angår tempi, volumen mv.
- Der lægges særlig vægt på tidligere erfaring med balletrepetition og klaverledsagelse af balletprøver og forestillinger.
- Et indgående kendskab til balletrepertoire.
- Erfaring med og evne til at spille i symfonisk orkester på professionelt niveau.
- En fleksibel og samarbejdsorienteret tilgang til arbejdspladsen.
- Sprogligt kendskab til dansk og engelsk er en fordel.
Opgaver og ansvar:
- Forberedelse til og deltagelse i klasser og prøver.
- Forberedelse til og deltagelse i offentlige forestillinger.
- Samarbejde med de øvrige repetitører, Balletskolens planlægger og balletrepetitørernes områdeleder om behovet for og omfanget af klaverledsagelse til klasser.
- Deltagelse i turneaktivitet efter behov.

Løn- og ansættelsesvilkår
Den ene stilling er en fuldtidsstilling, den anden er en deltidsstilling på 25½ timer inkl. forberedelse. Aften- og weekendarbejde forekommer.
Ansættelse og aflønning sker iht. relevant statslig overenskomst.
Ansættelsessted er på Det Kongelige Teater på Kongens Nytorv og du vil referere til balletrepetitørernes områdeleder.

Prøvespil vil kunne indeholde et eller flere af følgende elementer:
- Akkompagnement til balletklasse med dansere fra balletkompagniet.
- Akkompagnement til balletklasse med balletelever.
- Prima Vista Bournonville (med balletelever)
- Prima Vista Pas de Deux (med dansere)
- Solostykke efter eget valg (5-6 min.)
- Variationer – uddrag fra repertoiret (partiturer sendes til indbudte deltagere en uge før konkurrencen).
Tiltrædelse den 1. august 2024, eller snarest derefter.
Det bemærkes at de tre første måneder er prøvetid, hvor afskedigelse kan ske med 14 dages varsel.

Balletskolen uddanner klassiske balletdansere på højt internationalt niveau. Balletskolen har eksisteret siden 1771, og er en af de få skoler i verden, hvor balletskolen har til huse i selve teaterbygningen.

Are you a skilled ballet accompanist seeking artistic growth at a world-class ballet school and international ballet company? The pianist provides musical accompaniment for daily training at the Royal Danish Ballet and the Royal Danish Ballet School. Tasks may also include orchestral performance and piano accompaniment during public performances.
In addition to versatile pianistic skills, the following is expected:
- A strong technique with the ability to play diverse musical repertoire, combined with an awareness of individual dancers' and choreographers' needs regarding tempo, volume, etc.
- Particular emphasis is placed on previous experience with ballet repetition and accompanying ballet rehearsals and performances.
- In-depth knowledge of the ballet repertoire.
- Possess the experience and ability to play in symphonic orchestras at a professional level.
- A flexible and collaborative approach to the workplace.
- Knowledge of Danish and English is an advantage.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Preparation for and participation in classes and rehearsals.
- Preparation for and participation in public performances.
- Collaboration with the other pianists, the Ballet School's planner, and the manager for the pianists on the need for and extent of piano accompaniment for classes.
- Participation in touring activities as needed.

Salary and employment conditions
One vacant position is a full-time position, the other is a part-time position of 25½ hours including preparation. Evening and weekend work is required.
Employment and salary are in accordance with the relevant collective agreement.
The place of employment is at the Royal Danish Theatre on Kongens Nytorv, Copenhagen, and you will report to the manager for the pianists.

The recruitment process will consist of an audition and an interview and will take place at the end of May 2024. Qualified participants will be notified of the content af the audition in advance.
The audition may include one or more of the following elements:
- Accompaniment of a ballet class with dancers from the company.
- Accompaniment of a ballet class with ballet students.
- Prima Vista Bournonville (with ballet school students)
- Prima Vista Pas de Deux (with dancers)
- Solo performance of own choice (5-6 minutes)
- Variations – excerpts from the repertoire (scores will be sent to invited applicants one week prior to the audition).
The initial three months constitute a probationary period. During this time, dismissal may occur with 14 days' notice.
Please note that a child protection certificate will be sought in conjunction with the employment.
