We are looking for a Global Category Sourcing Manager for our an international company

We are currently looking for a new Category Sourcing Manager to strengthen our Global Sourcing team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving strategic sourcing activities within own spend areas to ensure a competitive and sustainable supplier base is in place primarily for our locations in Europe. You will become part of a skilled and competent global team of 11 colleagues with direct reporting to our Vice President of Sourcing, Joen Oestergaard.

Your key tasks main responsibilities

It is expected that you will challenge the status quo and help to further strengthen the sourcing team. Your main role will be to support our sites in Sweden, Germany and Denmark, developing the supply base within your own categories ensuring strong partnerships. This includes selecting the right suppliers and negotiating terms and conditions, with focus on cost and risk mitigation. Working in a global function, you will also find yourself supporting colleagues at Baettr’s sites in China and India. Involvement in CAPEX projects as well as more local driven sourcing tasks shall also be expected.

Your main activities will include:

  • Ensure efficient supplier management for the following spend categories (Global transport, Moulding materials for our foundries (i.e. chemicals, coating, sand and ceramics), CNC tools and fixtures for our machining sites)
  • Implement category strategies in alignment with factories and other key stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and implement agreements to support Baettr strategy and KPI’s.
  • Prepare and drive RFQs and CAPEX projects.
  • Identify cost out projects.
  • Lead Cross Functional Teams within your own categories.
  • Build up spend and data analysis to support the sourcing activities across the value chain.
  • Collect and maintain market intelligence as support to stakeholders incl. KAM team.

Professional and personal qualifications:

  • You have 5 years or more of experience from similar sourcing positions.
  • You could have a degree in mechanical engineering, business administration or similar.
  • You are a skilled negotiator.
  • You have a strong analytical and commercial mindset.
  • You have experience in global organizations.
  • You possess strong stakeholder management skills.
  • You have excellent English language skills; German skills are preferred.

It is important that you hold good interpersonal skills with a positive mindset, whereas collaboration internally as well as externally is key to have success as a Global Category Sourcing Manager within Baettr.

You should have the ability to communicate in a global environment – both face to face and remotely.

You will be working out of the global HQ in Lem, Denmark, however there will also be travel days to our different location around the world, mainly in Sweden and Germany.
