Software Lead

At TracInnovations we develop and produce a motion tracking system to improve the quality of magnetic resonance scanning images and patient comfort.

Your role

As a Software Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of skilled software developers to drive the development of our cutting-edge motion tracking software. You will be involved in all aspects of the development life cycle, from initial planning and design to implementation, profiling, and testing, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of talented software developers, providing guidance, support, and encouragement to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment. Facilitate daily scrum-like activities and ensure good team efficiency.

Development Life Cycle: Oversee all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, architectural design, implementation, verification testing, and deployment. Maintain a backlog of tasks and provide input on task prioritization.

Medical Device Development: Responsible for the regulatory documentation of our medical device software. In collaboration with our QA team, ensure compliance with FDA and ISO standards by documenting design controls, risk management processes, and validation protocols.

Communication and Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between the development team and both internal and external stakeholders. You will be referring to the CTO while also working alongside our Engineering Lead and Product Manager to ensure alignment on our product roadmap and strategic objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

• MSc in computer science, software engineering, biomedical engineering, or similar.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and practices, preferably IEC-62304.
• Proven experience managing and leading software development teams.
• Familiarity with medical device development processes and regulations (ISO-13485) is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Experience in computer vision and proficiency in C++ and Python development would be a plus.

About The Company

TracInnovations is an international med-tech company with headquarters in Denmark and offices in US and UK, founded at Technical University of Denmark in 2015. We develop and produce a unique motion tracking system for MRI scanners to register patient motion during scanning and to correct the final 3D scan images. Our tracking system reduces the need for patient sedation, especially for children, lowers the need for scanning repetitions, and therefore improves the patient comfort and lowers the scan cost.

The company is growing to accelerate the development and to scale up the production. Our headquarters are in Ballerup, DK, where we have both development and production facilities.
