Experienced Patent Administrator

Job description

We are Nordic Patent Service, a strong team of highly skilled European Patent Attorneys and Administrators, specializing in securing strong and valuable granted patents for our clients. We seek a patent administrator to strengthen our small, but dedicated team. As an experienced Patent Administrator, you support our six patent attorneys and four fellow administrators, while working independently with our clients and authorities in the daily tasks relating to patent work. You will be responsible for all aspects of the patent administration process, monitoring workflow, and quality control of all outgoing work for the client portfolios entrusted to you.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Patent administration (patent applications, POA's, response to OA, national phase entry, etc.).
  • Servicing our clients and complying with official deadlines is the highest priority.
  • Dialogue (by mail and telephone) with associates, clients, and national and international patent offices.
  • The work is performed on IT systems and platforms, and you must therefore be able to work confidently, efficiently, and proactively with IT tools.
  • The position is for min. 30 hours/week. It is important for the organization of work that you are available every day, Monday-Friday.
  • You thrive on routine, administrative tasks, i.e. docketing office actions and regular correspondence with clients and authorities. Although the pace is fast and the tasks many, you must remain detail-oriented and careful when prioritizing and completing tasks assigned to you.

Requirements:

  • Several years of experience with patent administration is a prerequisite.
  • You have a good linguistic understanding and commit yourself effortlessly and professionally in English.
  • A basic understanding of Danish is required.
  • Strong PC user skills, i.e. you are skilled, fast, effective, and completely in your element behind the computer.
