Scientist (maternity leave temp), cell-based immunotherapies

Are you enthusiastic about developing next generation cell-based immunotherapies that bring new hope to late-stage cancer patients? Are you experienced in immunology and have a special interest in the field of immune oncology and cell-based immunotherapies? Do you thrive in a passionate and informal working environment where you will work closely with our team to reach our goals? Then you could be our new highly valued Scientist (maternity leave temp) in our R&D team at Cbio A/S.

About the position

Today, Tumor Infiltrating Lymphocyte (TIL) therapy is the most promising cell-therapy for cancer patients with solid tumors where all other therapeutic interventions have been exhausted. TIL therapy is known to be safe and well tolerated and has shown remarkable clinical results with overall response rates of up to 50 % and complete remission in up to 20 % in several cancer indications in a heavily pre-treated patient population.

At Cbio, we have developed a TIL product with transformative potential, novoleucel, that is now ready for clinical development. In our R&D team, we are further characterizing this new TIL product regarding tumor killing capacity, T-cell repertoire, phenotype, etc. You will also be working closely together with the production team transferring assays and protocols from R&D to manufacturing and with the clinical site supporting the regulatory approval and afterwards the clinical trial. Furthermore, we are collaborating with various academic and industrial partners to further advance cell-based therapies.

As our new Scientist (temp), you will help the R&D team in a 6-months temporary position as one of our coworkers is on maternity leave, and will help the team with a possibility for further extension.

Qualifications

We are looking for a person experienced in immune oncology or related area with documented practical experience in cell culture and flow cytometry. You have a scientific degree (MSc/PhD), and have a good understanding of cancer, immunology, and/or cell-based therapies.

As a person you are self-going, curious, and flexible. You are committed and collaborate well with people with various backgrounds and skills at all levels. Furthermore, you have a positive attitude and can stay on top of things in a dynamic working environment.
