Application Specialist – Beverages

We are looking for a passionate Application Specialist with the overall objective to develop new beverage applications hands-on using Einar Willumsen’s wide range of flavour solutions. You will work in a high-paced, collaborative and energetic environment optimizing key elements of beverage applications such as taste, stability, preservation and appearance with the goal to design the perfect balance between these elements.
As an Application Specialist you will interact strongly with Sales working on customer projects, be part of scaling up and overseeing productions, set new product specification with QC and oversee labelling and declarations in cooperation with Regulatory Affairs. You join a young team of 7 Application Specialists and one Laboratory Technician in Brøndby reporting to our Application Manager.
Role and responsibilities:
- Full ownership of developing solutions for end-applications with focus on speed and commercial potential including cost
- Technical application responsibility of products and compounds stability
- Drive beverage innovation and new applications
- Set up trials/samples on new products, ingredients etc.
- Sparring partner with Flavour Creation
- Ensure scalability and run actual pilot productions in our future pilot plant
- Implement new products in our factories
- Project management
- Provide technical support to our Sales Team and customers
- Ensure a complete understanding of existing and new technologies through customer visits, technology reviews and training
Qualifications:
- B.Sc or M.Sc in Food Technology, Food Science or comparable qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ practical experience from innovation in the food/ingredients industry
- Creative and commercial mindset and strong personal drive to solve hands-on tasks
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
- Outstanding networking and cooperation skills
- Self-motivated and positive attitude with high levels of energy and drive to achieve targets
- Team player
- Problem-solving mindset
- Passionate about beverages and food
- Fluent in English and a Scandinavian language
