Laborant/Lab Technician

About the role:
The Innovation Center in Silkeborg, are conducting a lot of different tests from customer all around the world, within food & beverage.
The laboratory technician will be responsible for the laboratory in the innovation center in Silkeborg, providing the needed analysis for our customers during the different trials we conduct in the test center, be responsible for keeping the laboratory fully equipped, take care of the customers questions, and to ensure that the laboratory always stays presentable.
You will be joining a team of four innovation technicians and one innovation center manager.
Your main responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the laboratory to always be presentable.
- Arrange, conduct, and report customer analysis.
- Participate in Innovation Center team as a strong team player but also be able to work alone.
- Sometimes participate in the practical part of customer trials.
- Arrange the necessary services and maintenance on the equipment in the laboratory.
- Make sure to always have the necessary things at stock, for conducting the analysis, by making requisitions in SAP6.
- Be responsible for sending out analysis to external laboratories, when not possible in our own facilities.
- Make requisitions for external maintenance/calibration, buying, external analysis etc.
Education and Experience:
- Educated laboratory technician or biotechnologist.
- Technical and practical understanding of the laboratory equipment and the different analysis within the food sector, especially the dairy industry.
- Min. 3 years of experience with laboratory work.
- Communicate in English both vertically and in writing.
- Experience within SAP, but not a requirement as training will take place.
- Experience within different kinds of analysis such as Nizo, TS, Viscosity, PSD etc.
