QEHS Manager

Unibio has developed a sustainable technology to produce protein Uniprotein®. This technology is based on fermentation using methane as a raw material. With it, we reduce the burden of overfishing the oceans and deforestation to find more arable land. Our headquarters are in Roskilde, close to Copenhagen, and we have our Innovation Centre and pilot facilities in Kalundborg. Our Innovation Centre has a dual function within the company, as we switch between technology development projects and testing the production of new products.

Unibio is seeking an experienced QEHS manager. This is an opportunity to work in an international and meaningful working environment in a company providing sustainable solutions to overcome the food challenge of the century and to work in the crossfield between cutting-edge fermentation technology, a premium protein product and respect for the planet’s resources.

As our QEHS manageryou will join a dedicated team of professionals and become an important part of Unibio’s journey of microbial protein production for feed. You will be manoeuvring in a highly dynamic organisation, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

You will be leading a small team responsible for managing and coordinating all QEHS activities, including certifications, audits, and training. You will ensure that operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner and in conformance with safety regulations.

What will you help us with?

  • Representing the company toward all stakeholders in the 4 fields of QEHS
  • Proposing targets for QEHS across the company to the Management Team and implement those agreed
  • Setting QEHS strategy and targets
  • Leading safety meetings, setting standard and direction
  • Driving critical safety projects
  • Owner of Quality Management System
  • Ensuring the continuous update of QEHS documentation
  • Ensuring the proper maintenance of all certifications in place, obtain new certifications as the operation and business requires
  • Keeping track of the regulatory changes relevant to Unibio’s operations and businesses
  • Conducting internal audits

Who are you?

  • You hold a degree in feed/food science, chemistry or a related field within feed/food safety and technology
  • You have experience with regulatory affairs, quality and/or production in a feed and/or food company including HACCP and GMP+
  • You are the key player who ensures that we are always at the forefront and achieve the right quality and feed safety
  • You are ambitious, a self-starter, thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, effectively manage priorities
  • Experienced in planning, strategic thinking, delivering through others, and working with virtual teams
  • You speak and write English, and any other additional language skills will be considered a plus (particularly Danish)
