Senior Test Engineer

As our new Senior Test Engineer, you will be working in our transducer integration team, which is part of our System Test group, that currently consists of 7 persons. The transducer integration team is responsible for performing calibration, verification, and characterization of our advanced ultrasound transducers for our high-performance BK Medical ultrasound scanners.

You will take part in hands-on work while also playing a key role in maintaining and further developing our transducer integration processes and two laboratories. In addition, you will contribute to project development programs with technical advice and planning inputs in collaboration with specialists from other R&D departments.

As our new Senior Test Engineer, your typical tasks will include:

  • Measurements of sound pressure, acoustic power, thermal characteristics, image performance and other transducer properties
  • Planning of transducer integration tasks in cooperation with the transducer project managers
  • Writing and reviewing measurement reports for use in product submissions to regulatory authorities
  • Maintenance and improvement of existing procedures for transducer integration
  • Keeping our laboratories and equipment functional and calibrated according to requirements so that they can pass audits
  • Assessing impact of new or updated standards and regulations (e.g., FDA, UL, ISO, MDR) on existing procedures

Your professional background:

You probably bring a relevant degree, e.g., as an engineer and a minimum of 5-10 years’ experience with similar work in a laboratory. You have:

  • Several years of experience in measuring acoustic and thermal parameters or other physical quantities
  • Experience with laboratory work aimed at regulatory approvals
  • Significant theoretical and practical knowledge of measuring and test techniques and instruments, e.g., oscilloscopes, signal generators, data loggers and temperature probes
  • Experience with work in project teams for product development
  • Experience in documentation of medical or other types of equipment governed by regulatory requirements
  • Good communication skills in Danish and English
