Senior Structural Engineer and Technical Authority

Do you want to play a key part in structural integrity of INEOS Energy DK operated installations and are you keen to work in a challenging environment, where you will be involved in a wide range of tasks and technical challenges?

We are looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer with a minimum of 8 years’ experience to join our Technical Authority and Minor projects team.

The Technical Authority and Minor projects team is responsible for Safety & Environmental Critical Elements (SECEs) are fit for purpose, operated, and maintained as intended. Furthermore, we are supporting the operations with minor projects.

We are currently 270 employees in Denmark with offices in Esbjerg and Virum. You will be based at our office in Esbjerg.

About the job

You will liaise with colleagues across departments to ensure that Specific structure SECEs, current and future, are maintained and fit for their intended service and in compliance with Danish legislation, recognized standards, and Company requirements. You will also act as Project Manager for Minor projects.

Good collaboration skills are a key element in this position.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure discipline specific SECE Performance Standards are correct, up-to-date, and independently verified and that there is alignment between SAP and the SECE Performance Standards
  • Act in a proactive manner by raising relevant issues related to technical integrity of the installation(s) to the owner of the impacted system(s) and/or management
  • Review, evaluate and approve/reject dispensations related to discipline specific areas
  • Review, evaluate and approve/reject changes (MOCs) to discipline specific areas.

  • Maintain RBI basis (frame program) and generate annual Preventive Maintenance scopes
  • Manage independent verification of own activities according to Independent Verification Scheme
  • Be Project manager for multi-disciplinary minor projects

A self-driven team player with industry experience

You have a proven experience in similar role in the North Sea and have good knowledge of common industry standards, rules and regulations.

  • Have a relevant educational background in engineering
  • Have a structured and analytical approach to your work
  • Have experience with Risk assessments
  • Are fluent in English verbally as well as written
