DOVISTA Group Tax offers the position as Group VAT Manager
To strengthen our strategic VAT approach, and to meet the increasing local and international demands for compliant VAT, we are expanding our Group Tax Team with a Group VAT Manager. The position gives a great opportunity to be part of an international company with a strong European presence.
Group Tax is responsible for the global tax affairs of the DOVISTA Group with employees in Denmark, Germany, and Poland. As part of Group Tax in DOVISTA, you will be operating in an informal, dynamic, and international environment working together with many stakeholders with cross border tasks in collaboration with many colleagues in different countries.
Your workplace will be at DOVISTA´s HQ in the Horsens, Denmark.
Your tax competencies and skills
You have a significant knowledge on EU and Danish VAT law. Experience in VAT relating to cross-border activities, chain transactions, fixed establishment for VAT purposes, EU reporting and other international exposure would be highly beneficial.
You are outgoing and able to participate in an open and constructive dialogue with different stakeholders within the organization.
Being a part of an agile and collaborative environment, the position requires the ability to learn and understand complex structures and the ability to swift and clear communication at meetings and in writing.
Primary VAT responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic direction for VAT
- Drive VAT issues in reorganization projects
- Legal VAT advice and assistance to business units within DOVISTA Group, including handling of VAT cases and dialogues with the tax authorities
- VAT risk maps in IMPERO
- VAT training of and participation in group meetings with business units
- Adherence to our Tax Policy and underpinning instructions
- Preparation and adoption of internal instructions and guidelines
- Monitoring VAT initiatives and rulings in the various jurisdictions and from EU as well as trends, best practices, and developments
Professional competences
- You hold a law degree, MSc. or BSc./BBA and holds work experience involving VAT for instance in an indirect tax department, at an accountant firm, law firm or the tax administration is a prerequisite
- You are a team-oriented person but at the same time motivated and able to work independently
- You are extrovert with clear communications skills, both verbally and in writing
- You are structured and performance orientated
- You are analytical by nature, have a good understanding of interpretation of VAT law, accurate, have strong work ethics and an ability to work in a time-sensitive setting on multiple projects
- You are consistent, able to work informally with colleagues across the organization with the ability to timely deliver high and efficient quality
- You are fluent in Danish and English
