Computer System Administrator, U.S. Embassy, Copenhagen – join our international team

The Embassy of the United States in Copenhagen, Denmark is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Computer System Administrator within the office of Diplomatic Technology.

The work schedule for this position: Full Time, 40 hours per week.

Some of your tasks include:

  • System administration and maintenance for Windows Server and workstation operating systems.
  • Configuration and installation of new servers, workstations, peripherals, and network hardware.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting of network systems, workstations, and associated components.
  • Provide help desk customer support for workstation hardware and desktop applications.
  • Responsible for the management of IT property operations involving the ordering and inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain cybersecurity posture by ensuring patches are up to date, and all computers are within security guidelines.

You have a high degree of cultural sensitivity and:

  • Two years of college or university, or combination of two major industry certifications.
  • Five years of experience in system administration and network management, including network design.
  • Speak and write English level 3 (Good working knowledge), Danish level 4 (fluent knowledge).
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to be flexible and work independently and as part of a small team.
