Says Safety & Approval Manager Alexander

In the Future S-network program, you will join around 200 colleagues who are engaged in creating the future of public transportation in Greater Copenhagen.

You will have a challenging and varied job

Safety is a key feature of DSB, and you will be crucial in ensuring coherence between different stages of safety assessment and evaluation. You will maintain structure and quality in documentation and be involved in ensuring safety approvals for the Future S-network.

A typical workday starts with reviewing the latest updates from the project team and ensuring that all relevant safety data is properly updated.

After a good lunch with colleagues in the project team, you move on to prepare validation of safety requirements that eventually will feed into the safety approval process. Before you go home, you follow up on ongoing safety cases and prepare input to the next steps in the approval process.

Your primary tasks will include

  • Provide expert knowledge to ensure that safety requirements are specific, understandable, realistic and address identified hazards.
  • Support the safety team as the superuser for DOORS Next Generation, which is the requirement management tool of the program.
  • Analyze compliance between the requirements at various levels and ensure traceability as well as change management.
  • Ensure that deliveries from the safety team adhere to the Program Requirements Management Plan.

What qualifications does the job require?

We are looking for a person who likes to work with railway safety. You are proficient in managing your tasks while supporting collective efforts within a team. It is important that you are comfortable using both English and Danish in your daily work.

To fit into the role, you should have

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or at least five years of experience in railway safety.
  • Experience in managing hazard logs or other structured requirements management, including establishing and maintaining traceability.
  • An interest in the interconnection between all parts of the Future S-network, comprising people, technology, and processes.
  • Fluency in English and competence in or willingness to learn Danish.
