IT-Universitetet i København søger med tiltrædelse 1. januar 2025 en visionær prorektor, der motiveres af den samfundsmæssige opgave, som ITU’s forskning, uddannelse og innovation bidrager til at løse.

Prorektor skal sammen med den øvrige direktion sikre øget forskningsaktivitet på højeste internationale niveau, blandt andet ved at øge volumen af eksternt finansieret forskning, eksempelvis i samspil med danske virksomheder. Samtidig skal prorektor bidrage til at realisere et øget volumen af IT-uddannelse, der er så hårdt brug for nu og i fremtiden.

Med reference til prorektor får uddannelseschefen ansvaret for ITU’s uddannelsesaktiviteter, deres tilrettelæggelse, udførelse og kvalitetssikring samt udvikle uddannelserne i overensstemmelse med ’ITU-trekanten’.

Development Engineer - Mechatronics and Autonomous Labs for Power2X - DTU Energy

You will be involved in various research and development projects around automating and accelerating the discovery, synthesis, and characterization of new materials for Power2X and sustainable batteries.

PhD scholarship in Key Determinants of Sustainable Lifestyles - DTU Sustain

How to set lifestyles on a healthy and sustainable trajectory? This 3-year PhD will identify key determinants of sustainable lifestyles. The candidate will analyze individualized data on household consumption, including housing, food, transportation patterns and energy consumption persons, and combine these with life cycle databases.

The successful candidate will identify and study key determinants of sustainable lifestyles, systematically exploring which targeted lifestyle changes best benefit the environment to support a transition to life within the biophysical limits of the planet.

PhD studentship in the organic synthesis of natural product inspired compound collections - DTU Chemistry

A PhD studentship in organic synthesis of natural product-inspired compounds funded by a European Research Council Starting Grant is available at the Department of Chemistry at The Technical University of Denmark (DTU).

One of the main goals of our research group is the identification of bioactive compound collections derived or inspired by natural products, to probe their therapeutic potential. The PhD student will develop synthetic strategies to access natural product-like compounds based on sterols and alkaloids, employing emerging concepts in photo- and electro-chemistry.

PhD scholarship in ecotoxicological testing and screening of advanced agrichemicals for stakeholders with regulatory purposes and needs - DTU Sustain

A PhD scholarship is available at the Department of Environmental and Resource Engineering (DTU Sustain) within the topic of non-vertebrate ecotoxicological testing and Safe and Sustainability by Design (SSbD) of advanced agrochemicals.

The specific focus of the advertised scholarship is on completing a series of ecotoxicological tests on algae, crustaceans, fish embryos as well as soil microorganisms for a range of advanced agrochemicals and/or formulations. The tests to be completed will follow existing OECD standards of relevance in order to ensure regulatory relevance and acceptability.

PhD positions (2) in Electrocatalytic CO2 and CO Reduction at Elevated Temperatures for Making Long Carbon Chain Species – DTU Physics

This project will look to operate CO2 electrolysis at elevated temperatures and pressures approaching the Fischer-Tropsch regime to see how the catalysts behave in these conditions. We will focus on studying this both in aqueous solutions and non-aqueous solutions as each behaves substantially different. Because of this we have two open PhD positions: one for aqueous and non-aqueous CO2 reduction.

In investigating this topic, the PhD candidate’s main tool would be electrochemical techniques such as cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, and potentially impedance measurements.

PhD position in Computational Electrocatalysis – DTU Physics

We are seeking an outstanding PhD candidate in the field of computational electrocatalysis. The PhD project aims to use state-of-the-art quantum simulation techniques, Density-Functional-Theory (DFT), Ab Initio Molecular Dynamics (AIMD), and Machine Learning (ML) tools to develop theoretical electrocatalytic frameworks.

Hereby, the project will challenge existing research on catalysis, move the boundary of fundamental catalysis, and approach the next generation of selective renewable reactions.

PhD scholarship in Building Information Modelling and Automation for Model Compliance with Rule-based Analyses – DTU Construct

We are seeking a motivated, curious, and outgoing PhD candidate with a solid background in building information modeling (BIM) and a deep understanding of OpenBIM and IFC specifically.

You will have a key role in developing an OpenBIM-based model checker based on Open-Source technologies and current and proposed standards. Specifically, fire safety-related checks will be defined, implemented, and documented in code for the ongoing project FireBIM.

PhD scholarship in Post-Quantum Cryptography - DTU Compute

We are looking for a bright and motivated PhD student for 3-year PhD position starting 1 September (negotiable). The position is part of the project “Post-Quantum Key exchange”, which is jointly run by DTU and the company Dencrypt and funded by the co-financing fund of the Danish Ministry of Defence’s Acquisition and Logistics organisation.

The goal of the project is to explore different routes towards providing a fully quantum-secure replacement for X3DH, the key exchange protocol used by Signal, WhatsApp and the likes.
