Your position

In your new position as Director, Fabrication in the Rig & Marine division, you will take on the overall responsibility for our fabrication activities and play a key role in shaping the future of our execution capabilities. You will be a key member of the Rig & Marine leadership team, responsible for setting the strategic direction for fabrication and ensuring strong alignment across fabrication, project management, and workshop operations. You will also play a key role in driving the commercial development of the fabrication business, ensuring profitable growth, supporting business development activities, and contributing to strategic customer engagement and tender opportunities.

You will lead and develop the fabrication area at our site in Esbjerg, where our fabrication setup works closely together with the Project Management function.

Your tasks & responsibilities

As Director, Fabrication, you will be responsible for the overall performance, development, and strategic direction of fabrication within Rig & Marine. You will take full ownership of the fabrication facility and ensure strong performance, clear structures, and continuous improvement across projects. In this role, you will lead the fabrication setup at our site in Esbjerg and secure strong collaboration across fabrication, project management, and workshop operations.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Leading and developing the fabrication organisation, ensuring high performance, collaboration, and people development.
  • Setting and driving the strategic direction for fabrication, including structures, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring strong alignment across fabrication, project management, and workshop operations to optimize execution.
  • Holding overall accountability for safety, quality, delivery, and financial performance within fabrication.
  • Acting as a key stakeholder in tenders, projects, and leadership decisions across Rig & Marine.
  • Driving the commercial performance of the fabrication business, including support to tenders, contract negotiations, customer relationships, and profitable business growth.

Your profile & qualifications

We are looking for a strong and strategic leader with a solid understanding of fabrication and complex project environments. You combine a structured and analytical approach with strong leadership and communication skills and are able to create clarity and direction in a dynamic organisation.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

  • Experience from fabrication within offshore, maritime, or energy-related industries.
  • Strong strategic understanding and the ability to translate strategy into execution.
  • Solid experience as a leader of leaders within complex project organisations.
  • Experience with full P&L responsibility and a proven ability to balance operational excellence with commercial performance.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across all organisational levels.
  • Proven ability to create structure, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • A relevant technical education, e.g. Engineer or similar.
  • Fluent English skills, written and spoken; Danish is an advantage.
