You will lead a critical part of our end-to-end planning setup and help elevate our planning capabilities, processes, and systems to the next level. We’re looking for a confident, collaborative people leader who can combine deep supply planning expertise with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to create alignment and drive decisions across functions and stakeholders.
How you will make an impact?
As our new Senior Supply Planning Manager, you will lead a team of around eight specialists. You will be responsible for tactical and operational supply planning across our global manufacturing network, ensuring strong alignment between demand, production, inventory, and customer commitments across own entities, joint ventures, and partners. You will play a key role in developing our supply planning capabilities, processes, and systems while collaborating closely across functions to strengthen end-to-end planning, balance short-term operational execution with stronger long-term planning perspectives.
You will
- Lead and develop the Supply Planning team, securing a culture of accountability, transparency, agility, and continuous improvement
- Own and drive global supply planning processes across short-, mid-, and long-term planning horizons, ensuring stable execution and scalable ways of working
- Lead implementation, optimization, and further development of SAP IBP and related planning tools and analytics
- Own and further develop planning processes for joint ventures and partners, and ensuring successful integration of new factories into AFI’s planning setup and governance
- Identify and manage risks, constraints, and demand-supply imbalances proactively while driving decisions on priorities and mitigation plan
- Drive transparency through KPIs, reporting, and performance follow-up to improve service, inventory, and operational efficiency
The role sits within AFI’s Global Planning organisation and reports to the Head of Global Planning, and is based in Aarhus.

You combine strong people leadership with deep planning expertise and the ability to handle complexity and influence across functions and organisational levels. You are proactive, self-driven, and motivated by creating structure, driving improvements, and enabling business growth through robust planning capabilities.
Furthermore, you likely bring
- 7+ years’ experience within Supply Planning, S&OP/S&OE, Supply Chain, or Integrated Planning in a larger/global organisation
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain and supply planning processes across operational, tactical, and strategic horizons
- Proven experience leading and developing teams while creating alignment across functions and stakeholders
- Advanced planning process knowledge and systems familiarity (e.g., SAP IBP, BI, analytics)
- Demonstrated ability to manage complexity, balance trade-offs, and make data-driven decisions while influencing across organisational levels
- Fluent in English and able to communicate clearly across all organisational levels
