Senior IT Product Architect - Developer Enablement - Aarhus

How you will make an impact

As Senior IT Product Architect for Developer Enablement, you will own the AI tech radar and all related architecture decisions for the team. The team scouts, evaluates, and decides which AI tools, models, and approaches are ready for adoption across the organization. You will work closely with the Head of IT Product to align the strategy with business goals, bringing organizational coherence to a space that has previously been fragmented.

Sitting within the IT & Digital Platforms organization and reporting to the IT Architecture Partner, you will serve as the technical authority ensuring the AI development toolkit is on the cutting edge while remains within a secure and compliant frame. You will play a key role in tool and technology selection, setting quality standards, and coaching specialists to foster a high-performing technical culture. You will set the standard for how AI is used in development across Arla, ensuring it accelerates both outcome and quality. Further, your responsibilities will include

• Evaluating and selecting AI tools, models, and APIs to determine what is ready for adoption.
• Defining AI architecture standards and patterns and building the technical roadmap.
• Monitoring the market and signaling when to adopt or retire tools and approaches.
• Supporting the security organization on AI-related guardrails and ensuring compliance.
• Supporting IT Specialists on architectural matters to build technical excellence and professional growth.
• Setting quality and documentation standards for the area to ensure transparency and high adoption.

What will make you successful

You bring a strong blend of technical mastery, architectural vision, and collaborative leadership. You have a proven track record of designing complex IT architectures within large organizations and the ability to balance technical ideals with pragmatic business needs. We are looking for a candidate with

• Experience as a senior software engineer or solution architect, with a credible background in software development and a track record working with AI technologies in the field.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, agentic tooling, coding assistants, prompt engineering, and cloud platforms.
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and where AI creates leverage, including design, development, and maintenance phases.
• Proven ability to lead technical decision-making, including vendor evaluation, tool selection, and building the case for adoption or retirement.
• Experience with agile methodologies and maintaining technical roadmaps in an enterprise setting, with a naturally curious mindset and a habit of staying ahead of the market.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to bring developers and stakeholders along on the AI journey and drive adoption across the organization.
• Fluency in English at a professional level.
