Systems Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to ensure that system-level requirements, system architecture are properly defined, managed & documented, throughout the project lifecycle and specialize in system verification planning, ensuring that all system components are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards. This role is critical for defining the boundary conditions and constraints in early stages of project development through well-determined systems requirements and architecture.

You will be joining the diagnostics R&D department which provides support to several brands in the field of hearing diagnostics and balance solutions. The R&D team includes about 100 professionals specializing in systems engineering, mechanics, electronics, and software, with locations in both Denmark, Poland and Malaysia. Our focus is on creating high-quality products that positively impact on all users, with particular attention to children.

We have newly established a systems engineering department under R&D where we are looking for systems engineers’ position which covers a broad range of capabilities including, requirements generation, requirements decomposition and traceability, system architecture test planning, test procedure development and verification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • analyze user & stakeholder needs and flow down them to elicit, define & manage system requirements.
  • develop and maintain system level architectural design for diagnostics device and solution platforms in collaboration with cross functional teams.
  • develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices from requirements to test evidence and ensure requirements are testable, verifiable, and aligned with project objectives, collaborate with the test planning engineer to ensure requirements are adequately covered in test plans.
  • participate in design reviews and provide input on system requirements, architecture feasibility, and risk assessment.
  • develop comprehensive system level test plans and test cases based on system requirements
  • ensure test plans are aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards and provide regular updates on progress and results to stakeholders.
  • champion systems engineering process & tool chain within the R&D department.

Your Qualifications:

  • experience in product development with in-depth knowledge of system level requirements and verification management
  • experience in defining product or solution level architecture views (e.g functional, physical and operational architecture)
  • experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, aerospace, automotive) is preferred but not mandatory
  • experience in working with ALM tools like IBM DOORS, Polarion or equivalent
  • exposure to product platform development or product line engineering is preferred, but not mandatory
  • exposure to model-based systems engineering applications using SysML is added advantage
  • skilled in problem-solving with an innovative mindset
  • having good stakeholder management skills and able to effectively communicate & collaborate with a cross-functional team.
