Are you ready to take on responsibility for a number of dedicated and highly demanding customers within the sports nutrition industry in Europe and help reaching our ambitious sales targets as Account Manager? Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI) produces and markets specialized protein ingredients for the global medical nutrition, sports nutrition and functional food industries.

You will be part of the strategic business unit “Performance Nutrition” based in AFI headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark. We develop, scientifically document and commercialize specialized ingredients for the global Sport and health industries.

How you will make an impact

As Account Manager, you will be responsible for value-added B2B sales of ingredients to sports nutrition customers across selected European markets. You will own a portfolio ranging from smaller customers and distributors to large international accounts, ensuring strong customer dialogue, robust forecasting and smooth execution, even when demand outstrips supply. You will collaborate closely with our skilled Sales Support and commercial colleagues, building long-term partnerships externally and internally.

Your responsibility will include:

  • Owning and developing your account portfolio across selected EU markets and taking end-to-end responsibility for the performance
  • Building and executing customer plans, by shaping robust forecasts and manage your pipeline and prioritising smartly when capacity is constrained and demand outpaces supply.
  • Negotiating agreements and deliver profitable growth with a focus on long-term relationships
  • Navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and communicate clearly and credibly across customers and internal teams
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and contribute to the Performance Nutrition strategy

In this role you can expect about 50-60 travel days a year mainly to destinations in Europe either as customer visits or participation in trade shows.

What will make you successful

You combine solid B2B sales experience with strong communication and a structured, data-driven approach. You thrive in a high-tempo environment with shifting priorities and demanding customers, and you stand firm in negotiations and challenging dialogues when volumes must be prioritised.

We expect the right candidate to:

  • Have at least 5+ years of documented B2B sales experience with end-to-end account ownership
  • Have strong stakeholder management and clear, trust-building communication with both internal and externals
  • A strong business sense and analytical mind-set to identify and pursue new opportunities to developing our business even further
  • Be commercially driven and proactive, comfortable with travel and outbound customer engagement
  • Industry familiarity with sports nutrition/food/dairy is a plus
  • Speak English fluently, while speaking Spanish is a plus
