Are you ready to take on responsibility for supporting and growing a number of dedicated customers within the sports nutrition industry in Europe and help reach our ambitious sales targets as Sales Representative? Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI) produces and markets specialized protein ingredients for the global medical nutrition, sports nutrition and functional food industries. We are an independent company within the Arla Foods Group, with an ambition to become the true global leader in the value-added whey business.

This is an 18-month temporary position, an excellent opportunity for recent Business School/University graduates ready to embark on a professionally rewarding trajectory, learn from experienced mentors, support and grow dedicated customer relationships, and contribute to ambitious targets in a truly international environment.

How you will make an impact

This is an 18‑month temporary role designed to give you a steep learning curve and real responsibility.

  • You will support value-added ingredient sales to sports nutrition customers across selected European markets, manage smaller regions or customer portfolios, and provide hands-on support to senior colleagues on key accounts.
  • You will learn best practice through our buddy system, collaborate closely with Sales Support and commercial teams, and help build long-term partnerships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • You will take ownership of a smaller region or set of accounts, supporting day-to-day customer interactions and follow-up.
  • You will contribute to customer plans, forecasts and pipelines, ensuring structured preparation and timely execution.
  • You will support Account Managers on selected key accounts, learning negotiation and stakeholder management skills in practice.
  • You will collaborate across the organization to ensure smooth delivery when demand outpaces supply.
  • You will help identify new opportunities in your markets, contributing ideas to go-to-market plans and the Performance Nutrition strategy.

You can expect approximately 20–50 travel days per year in Europe for customer visits and trade shows.

With guidance from experienced colleagues, you’re ready to develop negotiation skills and grow your commercial impact. Further we expect that you:

  • Have a master’s degree within business, sales, marketing or similar or early-career experience that demonstrates strong commercial drive.
  • Communicate clearly and on time, building trust with customers and internal stakeholders through a positive, service-minded approach
  • Work in a structured way by planning your activities, preparing thoroughly and following up consistently to keep tasks moving forward.
  • Are proactive and resilient, comfortable travelling and engaging with customers in a dynamic setting where you will learn by doing
  • Familiarity with sports nutrition/food/dairy is a plus (can be learned on the job).
  • Fluent English is required and additional European languages are an advantage.

You will be part of the European Sales Team for sports nutrition, based in Viby Denmark, reporting to the Senior Sales Manager. This is an experienced, high-performing team with fantastic sales support, where collaboration and knowledge-sharing comes naturally. Our buddy system and mentoring will help you learn best practice and ways of working. We operate with a flat organizational structure that encourages ownership, open communication, and quick decision-making, enabling you to make a real impact from day one.
