As People Operations Specialist, you’ll become part of our Group People & Culture team – a department of around 5 dedicated colleagues with different backgrounds. We play on the team that has the most fun – and we always play offense! For us, it’s all about taking initiative, supporting each other, and celebrating both the small and big wins.

In Group People & Culture, we are responsible for driving the daily People & Culture operations at Group level and ensuring alignment across hummel – we work closely with the whole business.

More About the Role and Your Responsibilities

As People Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality data, seamless workflows, and managing your own projects. This is a key role for you who thrives on building and optimizing systems, driving automation, and translating people data into insights that shape better decisions and experiences.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • People Systems & Optimization: Drive the continued development and implementation of our HRIS (Emply), enabling smarter and automated workflows, data quality, and an enhanced employee experience.
  • People Data & Analytics: Build and deliver dashboards and reports that turn people data into actionable insights – supporting leaders and business decisions.
  • Responsible for system integrations
  • Ensure compliance with EU and local employment laws and data protection regulations
  • CSRD responsible
  • Support compensation, benefits, and payroll processes incl. bonus schemes
  • Participation in projects like: Pay Transparency Act, Emply, Engagement Survey etc.

To succeed in the role, we expect that you:

  • We imagine that you have a bachelor’s or master’s degree – but there are many possible ways into the role.
  • Experience owning and improving HRIS platforms with a strong focus on automation and integration
  • A data-driven mindset with proven experience in creating dashboards, reports, and translating people data into actionable insights
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach to systems, data governance, and process optimization.
  • Thrives in collaborating across People, Finance, Legal, and business functions to ensure smooth operations.
  • Are motivated by a dynamic environment with high pace
  • Communicate fluently in both Danish and English
  • Preferably have experience with Compensation & Benefits, reporting, and compliance
