Be at the forefront of development

In the audiological solutions group, we are at the forefront of hearing aid development. We contribute to many steps of the development chain, for example, through maturing and specifying novel audio algorithms, optimizing new features and integrating them into our system, or specifying and implementing testing of our products at all levels, all while maintaining our existing portfolio of audiological features. If you become part of our team your ideas and expertise will help shape the future of hearing aid development.

Making a meaningful impact

We are looking for a Data Engineer to strengthen our data platform and support the development of advanced audiological solutions. You will join R&D in a department dedicated to creating personalized hearing experiences that help users gain maximum benefit from our products.

In this role, you will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and audiology developers to build reliable data pipelines, improve data quality, and make data accessible for research and development. Your work will empower our experts to innovate faster and deliver solutions that bring meaningful improvements to people with hearing needs. You will also contribute by mentoring, training, and shaping how we use Spark and Databricks.

The role - what you will work on

  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines with a focus on quality, monitoring, and performance.
  • Develop monitoring dashboards to provide visibility into pipeline health and analytics.
  • Participate in architecture design sessions for new pipelines and contribute to developer tooling.
  • Support ML workflows in the medium to long term, ensuring the platform is ready for model training and feature engineering.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (Data Analysts, Audiologists, ML Researchers, Global IT).
  • Deliver training sessions on Databricks and Spark to audiology developers.

What you bring

Must-have skills

  • 2–3 years of experience in Data Engineering (or equivalent Data-focused background).
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Solid experience with Git and working in Unix-based environments.
  • Analytical mindset for troubleshooting complex systems and root cause analysis.

Nice-to-have skills

  • Familiarity with big data processing frameworks (Spark).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and managed data warehouses (Databricks, Snowflake or BigQuery).
  • Understanding data modeling patterns such as the Medallion architecture and star schemas.
  • Test Driven Development (TDD) practices & CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Domain knowledge in audiology or signal processing.

Who you are

  • Passionate about data engineering, analysis, and machine learning.
  • Outspoken and assertive, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Comfortable working end-to-end on pipelines while engaging directly with stakeholders.
  • Structured and curious, using a scientific approach to root cause analysis.

This role offers the chance to own key data pipelines, learn about state-of-the-art design principles and participate in shaping our data platform, and grow into a central contributor in our journey towards data-driven audiology. Additionally, you’ll have direct mentoring from a Senior Data Engineer in the team and the support of a strong network of data professionals across adjacent teams.

We can make a difference

You will be part of a dynamic environment built on trust and openness, where you will find a strong will to win. We are a growing international company, where everyone strives to ensure that customers find our products the most attractive on the market. You will become part of a positive and open work environment where flexible working conditions, knowledge-sharing and professional respect make it both challenging and meaningful to go to work.
