Marketing Manager - Distributor Sales, Copenhagen

Arla Foods is looking for an energized and proactive Marketing Manager to champion our Castello and Arla Cheese brands across a diverse range of Rest of World distributor-led markets—including Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe, the Baltics, and the Balkans.

How you will make an impact

As Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening our branded and category positions, translating global ambition into local market success. You’ll define and execute market-specific marketing plans, elevate brand equity, and drive performance—working closely with distributor partners, cross-functional colleagues, and agencies.

You’ll take the lead in shaping local implementations of global brand strategies, identifying new growth opportunities, and ensuring commercial excellence through hands-on engagement in-market. Your ability to forge strong partnerships and champion consumer insights will be central to achieving our strategic objectives.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Brand & Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute annual and 5-year market plans for Castello and Arla Cheese in priority distributor markets. Translate global direction into locally relevant activations, leveraging consumer, shopper, and customer insights.
  • Portfolio Leadership & Innovation: Lead portfolio architecture (formats, pack sizes, pricing tiers), drive innovation planning and market readiness, and align strategies with evolving consumer/shopper trends.
  • Distributor & Stakeholder Engagement: Guide distributor partners on marketing execution, deliver compelling activation plans, and manage day-to-day agency relationships.
  • Performance Management: Own brand marketing budgets, monitor KPIs, and optimize initiatives using data-driven insights. Track and report on brand and category performance, sharing best practices across markets.
  • Commercial Delivery: Deliver short and long-term volume, turnover, profit, and brand equity growth. Drive in-store excellence and lead product launches with impactful trade narratives.
  • Market Presence: Conduct in-market visits to ensure strong local execution and stay connected to on-the-ground realities

What will make you successful

You are a proactive and commercially minded marketer with at least 5 years of experience in brand or category management, ideally within FMCG. Your background demonstrates a strong track record in portfolio strategy, product launches, and digital marketing, and you thrive in dynamic, high-performance environments. With an international mindset and genuine curiosity for other cultures, you are comfortable working across diverse markets and collaborating with colleagues and partners from various backgrounds.

Building relationships comes naturally to you, and you know how to engage and align stakeholders in a matrix organization. You are both a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor—structured in your approach but always ready to act when opportunities arise. Navigating complexity with ease, you can prioritize effectively and maintain a high standard of quality, even when deadlines are tight.

Your positive energy and independent drive set you apart. You approach challenges with enthusiasm and resilience, always focused on delivering tangible business results. With high proficiency in written and spoken English, you communicate clearly and confidently in an international setting.
