We are currently looking for a Territory Buyer Northern Europe to join us in Hammel Denmark, Wavin Denmark, an Orbia business. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.

Main purpose

The Territory Buyer has responsibility for all local purchases in the Territory that they are responsible for. They support local stakeholders in fulfilling their purchasing needs and deliver added value (savings and other improvements). This concerns all sourcing and contracting not managed by Category Teams. They will foster supplier relationships associated with the territory under management and will work closely with the stakeholders in all functional areas to deliver benefits across the specific procurement areas. They manage the innovation process with local suppliers and align long-term development needs. They drive supply base reductions, locally and in collaboration with Category Teams.

Dimension of the job

• Purchasing volume of c. €15-20 million, depending on the Territory
• Number of suppliers (shared with categories) up to 2,000
• Manage security of supply by short-term actions (issue resolution) and a longer-term approach (risk management assessments)
• Maintain a close relationship with Category Teams to balance local and Group interests and to balance resources between both groups
• Responsible for Procurement metrics: savings, contract compliance, supplier base management, payment term optimization
• Act as an information source for stakeholders, where price information is an important element for making business decisions.

Main responsibilities

• Source and contract for territory procurement needs. Align where necessary with the category managers of specific -sub-categories
• Supporting European-wide category activities, focusing on the benefits of achievement and plans related to the all relevant -sub-categories
• Oversee and deliver selection strategies, processes and management of key local suppliers
• Develop and manage relationships with key groups of territory business stakeholders
• Manage the network of Territory representatives for activities or projects
• Coordinated and aligned methods with territory Supply Chain Team(s) to continuously monitor and enhance sub-contract partners and 3rd party vendors
• Lead and implement projects for continuous Procurement performance improvement
• Supervise accurate & timely reporting on key metrics to business stakeholders
• Supply Base reduction

Our requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent including Maths and English or equivalent in relevant disciplines. CIPS qualification is preferred.
• Business experience, with understanding of procurement and finance
• Expertise related to managing international teams
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and argue persuasively for a course of action
• Strong problem solving and analytical expertise
• Project management skills in an international environment
• Proficient in English (written and oral) and Danish language
• Effective and pro-active communication across all mediums to a wide audience
• Skilled influencer with excellent analytical skills
• Manufacturing and inventory management experience in a high volume environment
• The role is by definition cross-functionally oriented, therefore the candidate must present and evidence a level of awareness and understanding of Supply Chain, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Finance
