How you will make an impact

As Treasury Professional, you’ll work with experienced professionals, bankers, advisors, and Arla stakeholders in a global setting. The role includes a thorough onboarding into treasury and hands-on involvement in daily operations. As you grow in the position, you’ll take on more responsibility and become involved in projects that support Arla’s treasury function and broader growth strategy, while building strong relationships across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Executing day-to-day operations and optimizations as a part of the treasury team and in close collaboration with our back office in Arla's Global Shared Services in Gdansk
• Executing risk management strategies for currency, interest rates, and energy
• Assisting in the development of tactical hedging strategies for Arla's global exposure
• Actively participating in funding and capital market transactions
• Providing ad hoc and project-based treasury expertise to Arla's global organization
• Optimizing process flows by incorporating the latest practices
• Develop and build analytical tools in Power BI or relevant applications
• Over time be responsible for your own portfolio of treasury processes

You will be based in Aarhus, Denmark, with an expectation of 5-15 travel days per year.

What will make you successful

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you can tick off the following boxes:

• A Master's degree in economics or finance, proofing that you have a flair for numbers and mathematics’ and the ability to turn theory into practice. In addition, you have a profound interest in financial markets, instruments and the theory behind.
• Proficiency in Power BI and VBA is a requirement. Experience with other programming languages, such as Python and SQL, is considered an advantage.
• Ideally, you’ve gained work experience through an internship or student job, where you had the chance to develop and apply your skills in a practical setting.
• Given our global operations, a high level of proficiency in spoken and written English is essential, while Danish is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
