As an experienced Test Manager, you’re the vital link between IT and the business, using your expertise and curiosity to drive quality and improve test maturity at Arla. You thrive in complex environments and apply the right methods to ensure we succeed together.

In this role, you will join a team consisting of 11 colleagues based in either Gdańsk or Aarhus, united by a shared goal to continuously improve testing and quality at Arla. How you will make an impact

As an experienced Test Manager, you’ll work closely with project teams across Arla’s Release Trains (ARTs) and in cross-functional Scrum teams where business needs and IT solutions come together to create real value. Your sharp eye for improvements and practical approach to streamlining processes will help drive better project results. With strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset, you’ll identify potential issues early, reduce risks, and ensure high-quality testing throughout.

Your primary tasks will be:

• Scope testing activities using a risk-based approach
• Develop quality plans that ensure the correct test approach based on risk analysis
• Manage and drive testing professionally and efficiently through all phases
• Communicate test status and risks to a wide range of stakeholders
• Ensure adherence to testing standards while actively contributing to the development of both the testing framework and operational processes.
• Translate business language into IT language and vice versa, acting as a bridge and a quality advocate
• Support and contribute to the Test Center of Excellence by being inquisitive, reflective, and solution-oriented

What will make you successful

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you can tick off the following boxes:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on software testing and quality assurance
• Proven experience as a Test Manager or a similar role, leading and managing testing activities within complex projects
• Solid understanding of quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices, such as defect management, test case management, and test coverage analysis
• Prior experience with the agile culture and mindset, demonstrating strong knowledge of various software testing methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches, and the ability to tailor them to project requirements.
• Ideally, you also possess the following certifications: ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) and/or TMap (Test Management Association for Professionals) along with Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Familiarity with tools and technologies commonly used in software testing, such as JIRA, TestRail, Jenkins, Git, or Docker
• Given our global operations, a high level of proficiency in spoken and written English is essential, while Danish is an advantage.
