Are you ready to take the lead on complex export regulations and become a key player in international trade compliance?

As a Trade specialist in Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI), you’ll act as the key point of contact across the business when it comes to ensuring compliance with international trade requirements, HS codes and handling inward processing. How you will make an impact

In this role, you will become AFI’s key expert within inward processing (IPO) and origin rules. You will monitor legal developments, guide colleagues and optimize internal processes to ensure that our exports comply with international rules and obligations. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Drive AFI’s inward processing (IPO) framework across the business
  • Monitor and implement changes in inward processing and origin rules.
  • Ensure correct use of HS codes and look for optimizations
  • Be responsible for necessary documentation – including certificates of origin and supplier declarations regarding trade agreements
  • Advising internal stakeholders on export requirements and compliance matters.
  • Collaborating with authorities and external partners to secure proper implementation.

What will make you successful

We imagine that you bring a relevant educational background – possibly within international trade, tax, customs law or food technology – and a solid understanding of global trade frameworks. Alternatively, you may have several years of experience from the transport or logistics industry, where you have gained knowledge of exporting and importing food products across borders. You will be supported by experienced colleagues, so even if you don’t check every box, we’d still like to hear from you – the right mindset and motivation go a long way. To succeed in this role, you likely have:

  • 1–3 years of experience with inward processing and origin rules.
  • Preferably some experience or knowledge of tax law. Or customs handling with certificates.
  • Familiarity with international trade agreements, export documentation and preferably have knowledge of HS codes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A proactive and independent working style.
  • Fluent in Danish and English

What do we offer?

You will be located in AFI’s head office in Viby, and you’ll join Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) which is a very international and social team consisting of 14 people with different backgrounds, who work independently but always with an eye for each other. We take pride in having a high engagement in the team and a social life. GRA is divided into 3 teams where this position is in ‘Regulatory Trade’ with reference to the Director of GRA.

At Arla Foods Ingredients, we are committed to developing our people and promoting from within. You’ll get the chance to shape your own path and contribute to something bigger – for consumers, customers, and the planet.
