Regional MS Manager (Regionschef)

How you will make an impact

As a cooperative, Arla Foods is owned and governed by approx. 7,000 dairy farm members in 7 different countries. In Agriculture DK, we are locally responsible for handling all communication with our 1,700 Danish farmers. This includes overseeing the roll-out of global initiatives related to everything from animal welfare and ensuring the milk quality to minimising carbon footprints at farm level.

You will join our team of three Regional MS Managers at our HQ in Viby where the rest of the team and the majority of our global functions are also located. Here, you will be assigned your own region in the south/east of DK as the secretary for the regional board and the link between our members and Arla Foods.

In close partnership with your Regional Assistant, you will:

• Plan and facilitate all democratic cooperative governance processes, meetings and elections according to our regulations in the region
• Ensure the implementation of global and local initiatives across all member farms and handle potential compliance issues eg. Arlagården, FarmAhead check and Incentive points.
• Facilitate sustainability activities to drive reductions on farm
• Interact with external stakeholders to commercialize our actions

As many of the member meetings are scheduled in the evening, you can expect some work outside of office hours. Moreover, you will travel occasionally within your region and the rest of DK to participate in meetings and training activities. You will be provided a company car.

Thus, you thrive navigating in a politically controlled and highly changeable environment as the ambassador for decisions that may take some translation and diplomacy on your part to get across to your audience.

Moreover, you are self-driven and full of initiative, and you share our interest in climate impact and sustainability issues.

We are open to different backgrounds, but we imagine that you:

• Have knowledge about/experience from a cooperative, so you know about the democratic decision-making processes involved – preferably a farmer owned cooperative
• Have a background within agriculture or dairy – it would be a huge plus if you have previously worked with sustainability in agriculture - maybe even our FarmAhead Check
• Insights on what defines biodiversity and nature and how dairy plays a role
• Are highly structured in your approach and have experience with project management
• Are a strong communicator who speaks and writes both Danish and English with ease
